FAQs

Why Use A Professional Makeup Artist?

A Professional Makeup Artist has been certified in all facets of makeup and knows how to create the perfect, customized look for you that accentuates all of your best features using your skin tone, face shape, and eye shape/color and caters to your event.

Do You Offer A Consultation Before Your Services?

I do, but I do charge a small fee for them. I require a consultation for bridal services and try to schedule it at least 1 month from the wedding date.

Is Payment Expected At The Consultation?

At the time of the consultation, I take a 50% deposit of the total services to hold your wedding date and time frame.  This deposit is due the day of the trial, is nonrefundable, and is deducted from your total.

Do You Offer Airbrush Makeup?

I do use airbrush foundation and prefer it.  I also use airbrush  blush/contouring/highlighting. I do not airbrush eye shadow. See below about the benefits of airbrush makeup vs. traditional makeup.

Why Is Airbrush Makeup Better Than Traditional Makeup?

Since airbrush makeup is sprayed onto the skin instead of being rubbed onto the skin, it doesn’t magnify pores and it allows your skin to breathe.

Traditional makeup often feels thick and looks caked on and noticeable, whereas airbrush makeup blends onto your skin perfectly, giving you flawless coverage and creating a seamless veil of color over your skin.

Airbrush makeup gives over 18 hours of wear, is water resistant, and doesn’t fade or rub off onto clothing. Wiping away or blotting any tears, perspiration, or moisture will leave the makeup in tact.

Airbrush makeup needs very little powdering and virtually no re-applying.

It looks natural on camera, video, or in person, as if you’re wearing no makeup at all and have perfect skin

It can cover almost any skin imperfection without looking unnatural or cakey.

Do You Offer Hair Services?

I do  light hair styling, but I can also recommend a few great stylists.  See my hairstylist recommendations tab on wedding rates page.

Do You Travel?

I do travel within a 50 mile radius from area code 85037 without extra charge. Travel outside of these areas incurs a $.50 per mile fee.

What Brands of Makeup Do You Use?

Primarily Make Up For Ever, Too Faced, Urban Decay, Smashbox, NARS,  MAC cosmetics, and Julie Hewitt. I am constantly adding new products to my kit to keep up with the latest trends. Please let me know if you have ANY allergies whatsoever. There may be something in a product that you wouldn’t suspect would bother you, so please let me know!

What Hygiene Measures Do You Practice For Your Tools?

Client safety is first and foremost to me, therefore I practice strict hygiene measures. I thoroughly sanitize my hands before touching a client’s face and a various periods while applying makeup. My brushes are thoroughly washed in between each appointment and are sanitized with either a Jane Iredale or Cinema Secrets brush cleaner between each client. Mascara is applied with a mascara fan brush that is sanitized between each client, cream products are used with a palette knife, and all of my lip glosses come in squeeze tubes.
