Messy Turquoise and Gold

Here’s a fun eye using Gold and Turquoise eyeshadow. Turquoise is a hot summer color this year! This application can get a little messy cause it’s not supposed to look perfect. It’s supposed to be a little splotchy and uneven. Hot for a day by the pool in Vegas! Do your foundation after your eye makeup in order to keep the turquoise on your eyes and not down your cheeks.

Eyes:
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer
The Balm Shady Lady Palette Vol.1 eyeshadow in Jet Setting Jennifer (pale gold, entire lid up a little above crease)
Too Faced Eyeshadow in Sexpresso (crease)
MAC eyeshadow in Rice Paper (highlight)
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Flipside (using a brush, I flicked the shadow on top of the gold, wherever it landed, I pressed it in)
Lorac Liquid Liner Pen in Black (upper lash line)
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Alice (Flicked and pressed in over Flipside and liner)
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack (smudged along lower lash line, waterline)
MAC Zoomlash Mascara
(clean up all shadow that’s fallen over the rest of your face with a clean brush or makeup remover, then follow with foundation)

I copied this beautiful eye from a pic I saw once and loved. Totally gorgeous! Pretty on every eye color (be careful with the pink on lighter skin tones as it can make you look tired when used under your eyes).

The Balm Shady Lady Palette Vol. 1 eyeshadow in Risque Renee (navy shimmer, along upper lash line, and lower lash line)
MAC eyeshadow in Parfait Amour (entire lid up to crease, lower lash line)
Urban Decay eyeshadow in Extasy (along entire crease blended a little above crease)
MAC eyeshadow in Swish (along crease from inner corner to mid point, blending a little above the crease, lower lash line inner corner)
MUFE #75 (blended on top of Swish)

I love these two colors together. They’re contrasting, so each seems brighter next to the other! Super dramatic, even more so if you throw on some fake lashes. Looks great on blue eyes!

I had a request from another MUA friend to do a look with a minimalist, sculpted eye and a bright, springtime lip. I loved the way this turned out and rocked it all day long!

Mardi Gras Eye

For this eye, I used the fun colors of Mardi Gras; gold, green, and purple. Here’s what I used (in order of use):
Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer
Buxom Stay There EyeShadow in Shih Tzu – lime green all over lid up to crease
Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Sunset Strip – I used the light gold strip as a highlight and for blending the lime green shadow
MUFE Star Powder 954 (purple) – using a wet angle brush, I lined my top lashline and bottom lashline.
LASplash crystallized glitter in Phenomenon & Benefit She Laq – I dipped my liner brush in the She Laq and then in the glitter and lined over my top lashline. Make sure you rinse out your brush right after or the She Laq can ruin it.
Hard Candy Take Me Out Liner in Luxe – lined my waterline
